Bastian Bux is a young boy with a large imagination. He takes the Neverending Story from Mr. Koreander's bookstore and reads it. He is soon revealed to be the key to saving Fantasia. He met Winnie the Pooh, SpongeBob SquarePants, and their friends in Pooh's Adventures of The NeverEnding Story, in which he was played by Barret Oliver. He reunited with Pooh, SpongeBob, and their friends and met Danny and Sawyer in Pooh's Adventures of The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter, in which he was played by the late Jonathan Brandis. Before Bastian will see Pooh, SpongeBob, Danny, and their friends again in as a teenager Pooh's Adventures of The NeverEnding Story III: Escape from Fantasia (in which he is played by Jason James Richter, who is well known for playing Jesse Greenwood in the first three Free Willy films), his tween counterpart will join Pooh and his friends in their future adventures.
