Crossed Lines is the third episode of the first season of Thomas' Adventures Chronicles.
James was making some rude remarks about Diesels on the British Railway having two cabs and boasting about his importance. Sunset Shimmer reminded James that Toby has two cabs and he gets on all right, but James only just said Toby is just a little engine and clamied that if an important engine like him didn't know which way to turn, what would the railway come to.
Thomas, Percy, Henry, Duck, Rarity, Twilight, Spike and Sunset Shimmer are fed up with James' boastfulnes. Duck knew an engine called King James the first in the old days at Paddington and he never boast about. But Sunset Shimmer think it's best never to tell James that otherwise he'll get more boastul then ever (much to Henry's agreement, but wondering who's going to trim James' wheels).
He becomes worse than ever when he has to shunt and take a goods train one misty day. James has to whistle to alert the signalman to switch the points, but another engine whistles first and the confused signalman switches the points as a wellwagon is going over them, causing it to go sideways into a signal and cuorse the signal to fell onto the ground a few inches from James.
James was soon told off by the Fat Controller because the signals were very important and it's lost was inconvenient. James knew the accident was not his fault, but he was very quiet when he returned to Tidmouth Shed. The Engines, the ponies and Sunset Shimmer were relived. Henry, Rarity, Duck and Sunset Shimmer then started think it's difficult to know which way to go if James got two cabs, but to go two ways at once with only one cab, that really is something for James (which James just pretended that haven't heard).
