- Tsumugi Kotobuki previously owned a Vanillite named Van-Lily, she revealed Van-Lily's flashback about its trauma in Pokemon Scent-sation! (LAoPtS), when the Celadon Gym caught fire due to Team Rocket and Van-Lily was still inside with Gloom, Mugi rushed off to get her, she was still terrified, but Mugi reassured her to be brave and fight the fear. With its new resolve, she attempts to use Icy Wind to extinguish some of the flames but to no avail, she tried again, this time the attack got stronger due to using it in full power, while in mid-attack, she evolved into Vanillish and was able to escape with Mugi.
