Queen Elinor as a bear
Queen Elinor is Princess Merida's diplomatic mother and the deuteragonist of Brave. Throughout the movie, she is always striving to do what's best for the kingdom and her daughter, but her serious royalty conflicted with her daughter's wishes for a free life. She was later transformed into a black grizzly bear by a spell made by a witch. In order to undo the curse, Princess Merida must learn to redeem her actions and mend the bond torn by pride before its too late.

- She is voiced by Emma Thompson (who had voiced Captain Amelia in Treasure Planet, and played P. L. Travers in Saving Mr. Banks, and Mrs. Potts in the 2017 adaptation of Beauty and the Beast).
- She will meet Pooh and his friends in Winnie the Pooh Goes Brave.
