Bio[]

Long ago, in a far away land, Princess Aurora was born to King Stefan and Queen Leah. During the celebration of Aurora's christening, the Three Good Fairies came and gave the newborn gifts. Flora gave her the gift of beauty, and Fauna gave her the gift of song. But before Merryweather could bestow her gift, the gift of happiness, the dark fairy and mistress of evil, Maleficent, appeared and interrupted the celebration, angered and furious that she wasn't invited. And so, she put a curse upon the infant princess. Before the sun would set on her 16th birthday, she would prick her finger on the spindle of an enchanted spinning wheel and die. King Stefan ordered the guards to seize Maleficent, but she and her raven, Diablo, escaped. As a result, Merryweather altered her gift so that, if Maleficent's prophecy would come to pass, Aurora would not die, but fall into a deep slumber, only to one day awake through true love's kiss.

As a result of Maleficent's curse, and the threat it posed, King Stefan attempted to burn all the spinning wheels in the kingdom. As a further precaution, the king ordered the three fairies to take Aurora into the woods and raise her until her 16th birthday had come and gone. Over the years, Aurora had become beautiful but also slightly naive and care free, and she also gained a deep connection of and bond with the nature around her as well as becoming thoughtful and curious. One day, she came into contact with Prince Phillip, her true love from her dreams, and they fall in love instantly. However, when she asks the Good Fairies to allow Phillip to see her at the cottage, the three revealed her true identity as the princess of the kingdom and told her that she must return to her kingdom, leaving Phillip behind.

On the day of Aurora's 16th birthday, she was taken to the castle by the fairies. But things became far worse for Aurora, upset that she'd miss seeing Phillip. Maleficent lured Aurora into a chamber with a spinning wheel and got her to prick her finger on the spindle, sending her into her slumber. At that time, Maleficent also captured Prince Phillip while the three fairies cast a spell on the castle in hopes of only pausing their celebration of Aurora's birthday.

Soon, with help from the three fairies, Prince Phillip escaped and raced to the castle where Aurora awaited. However, Maleficent created a swarm of thorns and brambles in order to stop him, as well as confronted him in the form of a fire breathing dragon. With the magic of the three fairies enchanting his sword, Prince Phillip slayed the dragon and awakened Aurora with true love's kiss. As the princess awakened, so too did the people in and around the castle. And so, the kingdom was brought to peace and the two royals were eventually married and lived happily ever after.

However, on the anniversary of their marriage, Maleficent returns and turns everyone to stone, save for Aurora. To save her loved ones and subjects, Aurora traveled to the Forbidden Mountains, where Maleficent lived, and offered her life in exchange for turning everyone back to normal. Maleficent agreed and put Aurora into a sleep-like death, but Phillip took up arms and fought the wicked fairy again, defeated her, and awakens Aurora with true love's kiss once more.
