Fang the Sniper is a character that appears in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. He is an anthropomorphic jerboa and bounty hunter who resides in a mysterious alternate dimension, which is described as subspace. Greedy and mischievous, Fang seeks to obtain valuable jewels like the Chaos Emeralds for monetary gain. This has often caused him to clash with Sonic and his friends to prevent the Emeralds from falling into the wrong hands. Over the years, he has adopted many aliases, like Nack the Weasel, most likely due to his status as a wanted criminal all around earth. While he tries hard to look cunning, he is a coward whose plans always backfire due to his unfortunate streak of falling short.
