Wario appears as the rival of Mario in the Super Mario Bros. series. He also appeared in the Wario Land and WarioWare series as the main character. His partner is Waluigi.
He is known for being extremely greedy, doing whatever it takes to get some more money or treasure. He's also very jealous of Mario, which is first demonstrated in Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins, where Wario kicks Mario out of his own castle, and takes it over for himself.
Wario's notoriously favorite food is garlic. When he eats it, he gains the ability to fart in such a way that he is able to fly.. Gross. However, in some instances, he is able to transform into Wario Man, a super hero version of himself that is faster, stronger, and can (sort of) fly.
