King Richard is the ruler of England and the older brother of Prince John in Robin Hood. In the movie, Sir Hiss hypnotized him and sent him off on a crusade. However, he returned to England and began to set things right for everyone. He arrested his brother, Sir Hiss and the Sheriff of Nottingham for the crimes they've committed while he was away. He's even the uncle of his niece, Maid Marian and later became an in-law to Robin Hood.
