When Tod returned from the Steam Works after falling in a turntable well, Larry and the trucks sang rude songs about the event. Gary a friendly hopper, worried by the lack of respect for the engines, consulted with Tod, and Knockout and made a plan. Tod then shunted Larry and his lieutenants and prepared to pull them. Larry rallied the trucks into holding back, but this only resulted in Larry being pulled apart. The Manager attributed the incident to the wagon's poor condition, but told Tod not to disclose the fact, saying it was "bad for discipline".
