Sadness is a major character of the upcoming Pixar film Inside Out. She is one of the five emotions inside the mind of Riley Anderson. She will be voiced by Phyllis Smith.

- Sadness and the other four emotions will join Barney in Barney Goes Inside Out. Barney always finds a way to cheer her up, so she often enjoys his company. In the Barney's Adventures series, Fear and Sadness are love interests.
